Who would have thought that Matsuri would be the end of the line for Benny and his R33. After many years together, Benny finally decided to throw in the towel. Why you ask? Well Benny seems to have some curse upon him. Generally when he says “one more run” something goes sour. It happened last time at both HnR days, and again at Matsuri.

A new journey

With the S13 shell lying dormant in my garage, and my motivation diminishing to build a car that will rarely get driven. I decided to quit while I was ahead and scrap the build completely. My plan was to give cars a rest for a while but that all changed when Paulie decided it was time for him to move on.

Giving some TLC

Well it’s been a while since we’ve had any activity on the blog. Much has happened but with life being as crazy as it is, I just haven’t had time to share it all. With the Wakefield matsuri just around the corner, it was time to get Julie’s S14 and Benny’s R33 ready to shred some tyres. As for myself, well I haven’t been able to break my run of missing every Matsuri in my own car … maybe next time.

Buy all the things!

Over the past month I’ve been writing many lists and figuring out some sort of solid plan for the car. Now that I’ve got most of that nailed down it was time to get the ball rolling. I continued to strip the S13 down off everything I didn’t require in the build, and sold or scrapped the parts.

I was determined on getting a VT/VX Commodore, mainly because they are cheap as chips. Tow ok and parts are plentiful yet not costly.
